Confidentiality

The participants in experiments must feel comfortable and confident that all information about their name, personal life and privacy are being cared for.

Researchers must keep this information confidential.

This helps to recruit and maintain willing participants in experimental situations.

Rights of Human Subjects

Human subjects must be treated in a humane and safe manner.

Researcher must create environments which are mentally, physically and emotionally safe for human subjects.

Ethically, researchers should inform all human subjects of the exact purpose and scope of the experiment before the experiment is actually performed.

Care in the Use of Animals

As with humans, animal subjects shoudl be cared for with the utmost respect.

Animals should be treated in a human way as humans are treated.

The emotional, mental and physical well being of the animal should be a concern for the researcher at all times.
